15 April 2019 shook the medieval world…Notre Dame Cathedral was on fire! I tuned into four different news channels from across the world and watched in horror as the fire destroyed the cathedral.
It’s still uncertain what exactly caused the fire. As of 15 April 2020, it’s believed “the fire to have been started by either a cigarette or a short circuit in the electrical system”
On 25 November 2020 NOVA, an American popular science TV program, released an episode titled ‘Saving Notre Dame’ covering the fire, the aftermath and the rebuilding process.
