Medieval Lingerie for your Valentine

medieval lingerieFlowers die and candy goes straight to the hips. This year get your Valentine something that will last, like a 600 year old pair of underwear!

Archaeologists discovered this medieval lingerie back in 2012 in an Austrian Castle. The shoulder straps and cups of the bra are painstakingly decorated with lace and embroidery. It seems that medieval women of all classes liked to have their own secret.

Researchers believe the “brassieres presumably were used to emphasize cleavage.” They didn’t need research for that, they only needed to visit a Renaissance Festival!
