Robert the Bruce bustsTwo sculptures of Robert the Bruce have been stolen from a medieval castle.

The busts, one made of sandstone and the other of wood, were taken from a garden at Doune Castle, near Stirling, between August 13 and August 20, although the theft was only reported this week.

Doune Castle, originally built in the 13th century and rebuilt in the late 14th century, is run by Historic Scotland and is a popular tourist attraction and wedding venue.
