In addition there have been many finds of roof tiles, Medieval and Saxon pottery, and particularly part of a handle of a large vessel which is really exciting.
The work continoues until Friday 6th August. Local Towcester archaeologist, Brian Giggins, will be on site from 2.00 until 4.00 every Friday to give visitors an explanation of this historic monument and the archaeology being carried out.
